Color the icon of Jesus Christ, Pantokrator of the guardian angel attached to the end of this document.

OR, draw you own picture of Jesus as Ruler of All!

Q. What do we mean when we say that Jesus is the only Son of God?

A. We mean that Jesus is the only perfect image of the Father, and shows us the nature

of God.

Read Matthew 18.1—4. Discuss what it means to enter the kingdom of heaven as a child of Christ.

▪ Talk about how your child trusts in his/her parent(s).

▪ How do we trust in God, and that His will for us is blessing?

If Jesus reveals to us the nature of God, what does it mean that He cares for us and asks that we trust Him?

Q. What is the nature of God revealed in Jesus?

A. God is love.

Have you child/children describe in their own words how they experience your love.

Q. What do we mean when we say that Jesus was conceived by the power of the Holy

Spirit and became incarnate from the Virgin Mary?

A. We mean that by God’s own act, his divine Son received our human nature from the

Virgin Mary, his mother.

Jesus is God but He is also fully human. Read Luke 1.26—31.

Q. Why did he take our human nature?

A. The divine Son became human, so that in him human beings might be adopted as

children of God, and be made heirs of God’s kingdom.

Because Jesus became fully human we can participate in God’s life. How can we do this in this life, not just in heaven?

▪ Talk about how we experience blessing when we share love.

▪ Talk bout how we experience blessing when we forgive.
