This evening Saint John’s was contacted by the Webster County American Red Cross, who witnessed our collective efforts last weekend in Smithville. There is a desperate need that is not being met in Webster County MS, particularly the town of Maben. The officials from the Red Cross said ‘they do not even have water yet.’ They have asked if we could lead another effort in getting relief to this area. So, following the high calling of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are opening our doors again this week to collect immediate need items such as tarps, water, Gatorade (sports drinks), items for infants and seniors, toiletries and first aid items, and those things you deem essential.

Morgan Brothers of Laurel has, of their charity, donated a truck and driver to take these items, and we are planning on leaving Thursday (or Wednesday if enough donations come). If you do not have time to collect these items but want to help, you may donate by using the PayPal button and making a note that is for Tornado relief.

God bless you all for your efforts, generousity, and charity this week past. We collected an entire Chapel full of goods and were able to make two separate trips. We also collected enough money to supply over $2,000 in gift cards that are being used for school supplies and medical needs.

Again, thank you all for your generousity and for your active and lively faith.

With Love and Prayers

I am

Your servant in Jesus Christ,
